Design Team
I was Complaints Counsel and Deputy Director of the Law Society of Saskatchewan (the independent professional regulatory and licensing body for lawyers in the Province) for 20 years. As such, I gained experience in complaints, investigations, mediation, dispute resolution, facilitation, quality assurance programs and disciplinary and other hearings as well as human resources, financial and organisational management and board governance.
I received my Q.C. (Queen’s Counsel) designation in 2011 and a designation as Q. Arb. (Qualified Arbitrator) with ADRSK (Alternative Dispute Resolution Saskatchewan) after completing the National Training Course in 2018.
I am currently self employed, and my practice includes conducting independent investigations for Non-governmental organisations, Non Profit organisations, Regulatory bodies and Unions and Provincial Government and Crown Corporations, as well as acting as Hearing Counsel advising Discipline Panels for Professional Regulatory Tribunals.
I am excited about the work I am doing with Marilyn Poitras and her amazing team to help design a Tribunal for the Metis Nation - Saskatchewan. I bring experience with Tribunals and hearings and a keen interest in helping to create a unique Tribunal that serves the people of the Metis Nation – Saskatchewan.
I enjoy travel, socialising with friends and laughing, and spending quiet summers at the lake, reading, walking and tending my flowers.
